PAINBOY - Playable Teaser
A downloadable game for Windows
Set in the 80s in the imaginary city of Palms Ville in California and born as a graphic novel of five volumes 7 years ago after had being a Doom II mod, Painboy is a hand-drawn arena FPS with Metroidvania elements where the story is told with unusual storytelling.
Unfortunately, it is my most ambitious project, so it's not Painboy.
This is just a playable teaser made for the "Two Minutes horror game Jam".

Recently played this. I love the art and the way the story is told. Wish I could look up and down though.

The reason why you can't look up and down is to avoid seeing the player character flat.
I could make it 3D, but I chose this graphic style.
Thanks again for playing. I wish so much to destroy the creative block that I got after the release of The Devil's Womb.
Ah that's understandable then, I did like the 2D. I get creators block sometimes too, no sweat :) I still liked the game as it is.

I can't wait for it as well. The problem is I'm not sure the pre-alpha demo will be ready toward December, but in doubt, I cannot sleep on peas. Ahah!

Only ideas aren't enough. I need luck to make the REAL Painboy.
For now what I can do is making games and reading books. The future is uknown, but better thinking optimist. :)
